How fast 883 sportster

On urban rides the Iron is a neutral, easy and relatively agile bike, despite the mm wheelbase. As one would expect, the Iron creates a certain relatively slow pace mood, while riding position results in alertness. No compromises will be required except from the average steering lock. During filtering the height of the handlebar is about the same with that of car mirrors, it will not be an issue though.

Street imperfections are absorbed relatively well by the fork, the shocks will not be very sufficient to that. In the case of large imperfections, they are not absorbed efficiently by the fork either.

On B-roads the Iron is a pleasant - neutral bike. Rider will be fulfilled by enjoying the process of riding instead of charging. Riding position again decreases the relaxing feel which is common on Harley bikes. At a faster pace , handling is still greatly neutral. Ground clearance is quite higher compared to the superlow model.

Cornering will be pleasant on the Iron, in terms of the cruiser and street category. Of course on high quality roads, cornering is improved. Feedback from the tires is moderate on low-average friction factor roads. Engine power is weak to make things going at the fast pace. On the highway the Iron will be efficient on short-medium trips. Single disc brakes are used front and rear. At the front a two-piston caliper is used while a single-piston caliper is equipped at the rear.

Braking is relatively powerful, progressive, quite user friendly, providing relatively good feedback. Reliability: Quality build and finish are very good, there are no particular problems reported.

Top Speed. The Sportster Customs have a top speed of I rode a Yamaha about half a dozen times and then bought my to finish learning on. Main Differences Between and Sportster The Sportster has an cc engine and the maximum torque is mm.

On the other hand, the Sportster has a cc engine and the maximum torque is rpm. The difference in engine cc and torque means a huge performance difference between the bikes. Rounding out the model-year line-up is the Custom. This is the sportster you want to take on the long haul. It has the largest tires, the CC engine, comfortable controls and a larger, softer seat for both the rider and the passenger. I would think even with the tight gearing MPH should be quite realistic on an Ride to Live!

I don't know if the '04 is geared any different than the '05, but I had mine up to mph recently. That seemed like about all it had. When I give her heck going up an on ramp, I have to put some pretty good effort into holding on. Sometimes it gets close to being scary. I LIKE it!! I think the little 's try harder. Name: Vicious Whatever you are, be a good one Abraham Lincoln.

I don't know why you would think an would only do 85, its not like is a small displacement motor when compared to other bikes. On that note i've only been to about 85 on my bike but i know it had a ton left in it. I think you just underestimated the Stage I mods, but I ran out of guts about 90 indicated, about 85 real.

I have run into the rev limiter several times already. If you only have about miles on your bike, it will get stronger as things loosen up. I think I have commented on this before. I don't know what you guys are doing to exceed mph. When my was still an I could not reach mph with a lb payload.

With stage one complete, I hit 90ish and it was running out of steam on a flat highway. After reading all the comments here about exceeding I asked the dealer what was going on and they told me that if you want to exceed that number I'd best increase the cubic inches - so I did. Now I hit Can't remember what tthe manual saya about this though. Summer of right after I did my stage I had my up to and the bike was def not running out of steam, however I chickened out when I saw on the speedo and I backed it down.

Only reason I even did was I wanted to see how much whoop ass she had. Although I don't know exactly the top speed. Good bike but not the cruisers. Choosing to sell the vs or hd xl. I can not desiderate as I find both bikes great fun to own. Harley Davidson xl conversion to is my next task.

And now both bikes is great fun. Vs very very fast. Yes faster then xl HD. You deff nailed that. Thanks for putting that in paper. Totally made it to be a part of me. And I just picked up a Ultima Softail. Been building it for. While now and let me tell u the raw power this thing has.

It rumbles when idoling. No better sound then a bored out Harley motor w a cam. Almost 20hp, so you are going to the wrong shop! I have a sporty that will make your eyeballs bleed. Oh by the Way, what do you ride, if you do? My brother has a triumph rocket I have a sportster He says he cant keep up with me on rides. I found his Triumph impossible to get speed up on except on motorways, wherreas the torque and acceleration in shorter windy roads on my sportster left me waiting at the bar for him to catch up to me.

On any normal rtoad with corners and bends, i leave you standing. A with kit, Dyno at 70 HP. People who say its a girls bike should try riding a V sportster and race with me one each. When their pants need changing, i will call them a girl. Tim you are obviously someone who cannot afford a Harley.
